Focus Group - Heart & Treasure Financial Health Group

Led by Chip and Karen Measells Heart & Treasure is an eight-week group built around one idea: knowing God through the most ordinary material in your life — money. Individuals and couples are welcome, wherever your finances stand right now. Over eight weeks, guided by a workbook and a short starting assessment (the Money Mirror), you'll work through what it means that God owns what you have, what's actually driving your money habits, and what it looks like to receive "enough" instead of defending it. From there you'll get real, practical help facing and sorting debt, building a plan that puts giving first, creating protection for the unexpected, and learning to plant what you have for the future. This is a test group, not a finished product — we're asking for eight weeks of honest participation and real feedback so we can build this well for the whole church.

This group is focused on providing a safe space for people who are on the spectrum of active substance abuse, recovery from substance addiction, or somewhere in between. Priority is placed on identifying and meeting the needs of the members of the group. Typically, the group meeting format consists of a devotion, a recognition of achievements (i.e. sobriety chips), a time of skill-building (i.e. identifying triggers, teaching replacement behaviors, etc.), and a time of sharing within the group. This group is for women of all ages. We meet on Tuesday nights at a home in the Scottsville area. We start arriving at 5:30 pm to chat and at 6:00 we do our prayer requests and meal. Bible study from 7:00-8:00. This summer we are studying "The Armor of God".

In September we started Priscilla Shirer’s study Discerning the Voice of God. This is a 7-session study that focuses on the ability to understand what God is saying and separate his voice from the everyday chatter of the world. Everyone needs to buy their own study book. We will watch the video at home on our own and discuss what we read over the week at the group meeting on Tuesday. Anyone that has done a study by Priscilla appreciates her passion for God’s word. Let us be encouraged together as a community of women seeking to deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. We will gather on Tuesday’s at 6:30 and discuss what we read. We will close in prayer-and conclude at 8:00 pm

Women - Women's Bible Study at Ridge Street

There’s a place for you here! Whether you’re a young mom, an empty nester, or enjoying your later years, join a welcoming community of women growing in God’s Word and walking with Jesus together. Through conversation, prayer, and friendship, we’ll learn from one another, share encouragement, and support each other through life’s different seasons. We’re beginning with Luke: Gut-Level Compassion by Lisa Harper, a study with a journal and accompanying videos. If your week is full and you don’t get to the journal, you can still watch the video and join in meaningful conversation. Come as you are—you don’t have to have every page completed to belong! Throughout the year, we’ll also explore studies by Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer, with time for celebrations and fellowship along the way. NOTE: We meet in the Ridge Street Campus' Kids Point area which is located on the bottom floor of the building adjacent to the Ridge Street Campus main building. This Bible study small group is a welcoming space for women seeking connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth. We gather in a residence near Rio Road every week and reading the God won’t leave you there Bible study by the Graham Lotz’s. God Won’t Leave You There is an 8-session journey through Joseph’s journey that meets you in your pain and points you toward hope, healing, and God’s unwavering presence in every season.
